Rubaiyat Bar in Mascot Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram is a great place to visit for a night out. The ambience of the bar is quite peaceful and pleasant with wooden ceilings that give it a historical feel. The bar has decent staff and the service is quite good. The drinks are priced moderately and the food menu has a variety of starters and main course dishes that are quite tasty. The bar has a good collection of beer and wine, but unfortunately no alcoholic hot drinks are available. It's a great place to hang out with friends or even for a solo outing. The bar also has a great location which makes it a perfect spot for an evening out. The only downside is that the interiors are a bit dated and the waiters could be more courteous. However, overall it is still one of the better bars in Trivandrum and is definitely worth visiting.

Congratulations on topping my list of the most terrible bars in Trivandrum!!!! Interior are terribly dated, worthy of being scrapped ASAP. Sofa cushions were worn out so much that the wooden frame under the cushion ends up poking you. My back ached so much. There were plenty of red ants living inside the sofa. I was lucky enough to get 4 ant bites especially one on the tip of my nose & ended up scratching all the time. Ac was just name sake. poor cooling. Cutlery used was not only old, but as cheap like the ones you find in local bars. Food was just average. Also the entire place was full of police men because of some filthy VIP staying there. Stay away from this place. Don't spoil your bar experience with this place. Local bars in Trivandrum offer a much better experience. This place is not as good as it seems from outside.
