I visited the Royal Connaught Boat Club during my recent trip to Pune for a wedding lunch. The room that was booked for our lunch was big enough to seat nearly 50 people. The starters were served in this room while the lunch was served outdoors.The cuisine for the day was Malwani cuisine. The lamb served in starters was cooked to perfection. Other than that the combination of Appam with the Vegetable Stew in the main course along with Sukka Mutton was quite good. For dessert, we were served caramelised custard and Northern Alaska which was cake with vanilla ice cream topped with hot chocolate sauce.The service was goodas well. The waiters were polite and courteous.Overall, my experience was quite good. It's a nice place to host a lunch or dinner for close family and friends.
