After enjoying Assi Ghat, go to this restaurant that is not far away. Mughlai cuisine is recommended to degust at Roots Varanasi. But a number of visitors who use Google didn't grant this place a high rating.

I attended an event at Roots Varanasi and it was far from professional. I had high expectations from Roots Varanasi, especially given its much-hyped location near Assi Ghat. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t live up to the promise. 1. No Power Backup: The property lacks power backup, which is a serious issue in a city like Varanasi . During outages, the AC stops working, and the rooms heat up quickly, making the stay uncomfortable — especially during the summer months. 2. Poor Room Cooling Even With Power: Even when power is available, the AC struggles to cool the room effectively. This is likely because the structure has broken glass panels and is surrounded by glass walls, especially on the riverside, which traps heat. The design might look good, but it’s not functional — the space becomes a glass oven. 3. Poor Event Management: If you’re thinking of hosting an event here, don’t. The event management is highly unprofessional, with poor coordination, lack of preparedness, and no contingency planning for things like power. 4. Misleading Location Advantage: While the property is located near Assi Ghat, don’t fall for the riverfront hype. The actual experience is underwhelming, especially since access is severely limited during evenings due to crowd gatherings at the ghat. Roads get blocked, and vehicle access becomes a nightmare. 5. Not Suitable for Events: To be clear: this is not a suitable place for any kind of planned event — whether personal or professional.
