According to the guests' comments, Indian dishes here are tasty and the menu is well-organized. It's time to try tasty tandoori roti, chicken biryani and fried fish. Order good steamed pudding, yogurt and kulfi. When visiting this restaurant, it's a must to try delicious cordial, beer or bitter. Try great bread drink, chocolate frappe or ice tea.
Riyasat with takeaway dishes is good for those visitors who like to have dinner on the go. The success of this place would be impossible without the well-trained staff. Fast service is something guests agree upon here. Prices at this spot deserve attention because they're low. The terrific decor and cozy atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. We selected this place after going through the reviews of multiple restaurants in South Kolkata. The good thing is that it is located inside South City Mall, since the restaurant is popular and often full. So being in the mall lets you quickly select a different venue. We had to wait a bit for a table since we hadn't made a reservation. We did not know their specialities and went with the server's recommendation. The servers were polite and knowledgeable, and the service was good. Coming to the food, I am not sure whether we did not know which dishes to order or if the food is hyped, because although it was good, I did not find anything we ordered particularly unique or memorable. I would like to go there and try out some more dishes another time. It is a bit expensive, though. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,600–1,800

Was extremely disappointed on my first visit to " Riyasat" for lunch on 19 Feb 22. The table had been booked in advance for a group of 9/10 persons. The service was poor as it appeared to be totally disorganized. The stewards looked clearly out of sorts and several of my guests had to raise their plates to make it easy for the stewards to put food on their plates. An embarrassment never felt before during my visit to any other less or more popular food joint in Kolkata. A few examples will give anybody an appreciation of the level of service offered. One of the dishes ordered was two plates of " Labh jod salim raan". The dish included a gravy which had to be served separately . To my dismay , in a long table of nine guests the gravy was given in just one bowl which being an important part of the dish has to be passed around across the whole length of the table. The steward at the table could not fathom the need for having two bowls, one at each end of the table. Drawing the attention of the stewards was by itself an embarrassing effort. Guests had to knock at the glass separator wall with their hands to draw their attention. The beer that was served was warm. When the next round was ordered it was again observed that they were not chilled adequately. Hence, the bottles were sent back. The " Gilawat" and " Thali macchi " portions were the only dishes worthy of mention. The rest were ordinary. Finger bowls had to be asked for. A few arrived thereafter and the steward asked aloud from one end of the table if there were others who also needed finger bowls. The less said about this restaurant, the better.
