After you have seen Shaheed Minar, visit this restaurant. Locals like Indian dishes at Regent Restaurant. Try perfectly cooked fried fish, chicken biryani and fish fried rice.
Many visitors think that the staff is efficient here. A number of guests note that the service is enjoyable. Adequate prices are what you are to pay for your meal. As a lot of reviewers notice, the atmosphere is lovely. But google users haven't given this place a high rating.

The place gives off an old Kolkata charm, but the food didn’t quite match up. Tried the fish Kabiraji — it was average and didn’t live up to the hype. Visited Regent Restaurant in Esplanade yesterday, and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. We ordered a full plate of chicken tandoori kebab, chilli fish (dry), lassi, and masala coke. The chicken tandoori kebab was on the dry side, lacking the juiciness you'd expect. The chilli fish was overly oily, which took away from the flavor and made it less enjoyable. Drinks like lassi and masala coke were decent but nothing exceptional. The ambiance is old-school, which some might find nostalgic, but the non-AC setup makes it less comfortable, especially for those expecting a more modern dining experience. Despite the simplicity, the pricing wasn’t particularly pocket-friendly, which added to the disappointment. Overall, it’s a 3/10 for me. While it might appeal to those looking for a very retro vibe, the food and value for money didn’t live up to expectations. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
