Rattan Dhaba is a mini gem of a shop located at Chotta Shimla.The dhaba makes absolutely delicious home style comfort food. Everyday the menu has some different daals and sabzis. Definitely try their Kangri Dhaam that is served specially in the lunch menu on a Thursday. The prices for the food or even packaged takeout is super affordable and the quantity served is really good. The food is prepared fresh everyday and no excess oil or masalas are added. They serve amazing, simple, homely comfort Indian dishes. The owner is super courteous and sweet and attends every customer with warmth. The rotis are thin and made of wheat and rice is available too. A single plate of daal or sabzi costs around 70-50 and is enough to be eaten by two people. There is also ample seating to eat inside the shop but a point that can be slightly improved is the hygiene where dishes are washed. Apart from that I did not find any fault to be listed. Definitely try Rattan Dhaba if you crave good heartwarming Indian food and try their Dhaams too as they're delicious. They do the basics well and that is about it !
