Indian cuisine is a must-order one at this restaurant. Take your friends with you and eat good tandoori chicken, biryani and chicken tikka. Many visitors note that the staff is appealing at The Rasoi. Terrific service is something clients appreciate here. The homey ambiance will be really just what you need after a long working week. But a number of guests who use Google didn't grant this place a high rating.

I don't know how I've missed this place all these years.
We went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon (05.07.2015) and the place was quite empty. Looking at how empty it was I was kind of worried that the food might not be nice. When we entered there was no one in the hotel to serve us. That was even more shocking. But, in about 5 minutes we had people up and running. The waiter we had was an enthusiastic old man and ensured that we did not have trouble with anything.

The highlight of their menu is that they have got dishes from almost all parts of India. They have Mangalore Fish Curry, Punjabi Tandoor items, Bengali Fish Curry , Hyderabadi Biryani, Kerala Parota etc. So you will quite literally be spoilt for choice

For starters we first ordered Pahadi Murg Tikka. The pieces of chicken were marinated well I suppose, because of which the meat was so tender and literally melted in our mouths. The spices used for this dish stole the show.

We wanted to have mutton sheekh kabab but they did not have that. The Chef personally came to our table to inform us about the unavailability and suggested that we try the Mutton Pepper Fry. I must say we weren't disappointed. Soft succulent pieces of mutton fried with masala and pepper. People usually go wrong with mutton, but at The Rasoi that wasn't the case.
The starters were served with one of my favourite chutneys - The pink chutney mixed in curd.

For main course-We had butter kulchas, which were extremely soft and topped with carrot, coriander and sesame seeds. We had ordered a Punjabi dish called Amritsari Kukkad to go with our bread. We asked for the dish to me made spicy and they did so. The gravy tasted excellent and it was also a rich dish beacuse it was immensely creamy.

After eating so much we did not have any place left for the any rice item or dessert.

This place came a sheer surprise to me.
