We recently visited Hotel Rajwadu in Ahmedabad and had the pleasure of enjoying their traditional Gujarati thali. The food was absolutely delicious, with every item on the plate prepared authentically and served with warmth. The ambience of the place is another highlight – rustic, serene, and truly reflective of Gujarat’s cultural heritage. One suggestion from our experience: the thali includes a wide variety of dishes, often more than one can consume in a single meal. While this generosity is appreciated, it can sometimes lead to food wastage, especially when diners are unable to finish everything. A thoughtful approach could be to serve a basic minimum set of dishes initially, and then offer additional items based on individual preference or request. This could help reduce food wastage without compromising the guest experience. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience – excellent food, great service, and a wonderful setting. Ambiance and food is good. Donot expect hospitality. Due to huge walk in during winters and they tend to give entries to ppl beyond their capacity , they push you to eat fast and leave fast. Mr. Bipin at this restaurant treated us very rudely when we mentioned about serving icecream and then taking it back from our tables so that we leave fast , telling us on our face that they do not serve it again after it is offered once. Most pathetic and humiliating experience!
