Raja Gobi JP Nagar is a casual fast food restaurant located on the bustling 17th Cross Road in Bengaluru. Known for offering exclusively vegetarian options, this spot caters to those looking for quick bites with a street food vibe. Patrons can choose between on-site dining or takeaway, as there is no delivery service available. Street parking is free of charge, allowing visitors to find a spot nearby.
Accessibility may be an issue here, as the establishment lacks wheelchair-accessible features, and there are no toilets on site. Guests should come prepared for long queues, as reported waiting times are significant, with limited seating options along the road, enhancing the informal ambiance of the location.
Visitor experiences have been mixed, with some suggesting that the well-known Gobi dish does not live up to expectations. While some accolades hint at popularity, others advise caution due to lengthy waits and customer service complaints. Operating from mid-afternoon to late evening every day, Raja Gobi continues to draw in curious crowds despite these varied reviews. However, potential visitors should note the absence of detailed owner-provided updates, which might leave some questions about the current status unanswered.
The crispy Gobi served in sufficient quantity is really worth the hype. No doubt people wait in a queue for many minutes to taste the Gobi Manchurian. It's a no frills outlet. One just orders and takes away after payment. Queue grows extending the wait time due to many takeaway orders. Liked the texture, taste and the after taste. Must try if in and around JP Nagar. Parking is an issue and hence takeaway is recommended. Service: Takeaway Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
Tried the Gobi Manchurian for ₹90 – a generous portion, easily enough for two people. The taste was really good, slightly on the sweeter side, with a nice balance of spices. The onions added a fresh crunch. Only drawback is the long wait time – took around 30 minutes to get it. But if you’ve got time, it’s definitely worth a try! Service: Dine in Price per person: ₹1–200
The differential that Raja Gobi offers when it comes to Gobi Manchurian is the crunch. Flavor wise I think you won't really find much of a difference for a Gobi Manchurian across different restaurants in Bangalore. The crunch is why people return and are willing to stand in line for 30-60 minutes. Also, I've seen people try to persuade/influence the owners to let them skip the line but they don't budge so everyone who wants to try the dish has to wait in line.
