A good place to spend the evening. Ambience is nice and food quality is also good. Location is Lapalang Market. There is also space for parking. No waiting time is required. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: ₹1–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Chicken Wonton Soup - Rs.120/- Fresh Lime Juice - Rs.70/- Rafe's Cafe, Lapalang, Shillong Chinese, Garo & Naga $$$ 01.02.25 Today me & @iceshira were fixed on eating at @tpk.2023 . However, on reaching there, the store was closed. So I told him that we can try the thali at Flavour's Thali in Lapalang. But it is so unfortunate that a shop with Thali in its name did not serve any Thalis. We did not want to spend too much time searching so we decided on the nearest place to it. And that was @rafe.cafe We had to climb up a flight of spiral stairs to enter the restaurant. It was a nice decent cozy place. We looked at the menu & we were happy to see that they served Garo Thalis. Sadly our joy was short-lived when we were informed that they were available only on Fridays & Saturdays. So we stuck to Chinese. Isaac ordered a Mushroom Soup, a Coca Cola & a Pork Chow while I got a Fresh Lime juice & a Chicken Wonton Soup. It's been ages since I last had one. Isaac's orders came first & well wontons usually do take alot of time to prepare, but I was surprised that these came in relatively fast. There were 4 pieces of wontons in a rather small bowl. The soup was ok but a bit of pepper seasoning livened it up. The breading was not thick & floury but the quantity of meat could have been better. The fresh lime juice was ok. I tried a spoonful of the noodles & they were nice, thanks to the addition of Black pepper powder. I've somehow always liked it that way. The mushroom soup was also not bad.
