Absolutely Disappointing and Unhygienic Experience This was not our first visit here, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a nightmare. We ordered two Chinese platters, and right from the first few bites, it was obvious something was seriously wrong. The fried rice was burnt, the Manchurian and chilli paneer tasted outright spoiled, and the spring rolls were nearly inedible. I approached the reception to report this, hoping for some accountability or at least a basic response—but was met with complete silence and indifference. It was clear no one cared, so we left, only to have the entire family suffer from stomach infections later that night. This wasn’t just bad food—it was a serious health hazard. I recently visited Desi Tadka in Civil Lines, Roorkee, and had a wonderful dining experience. The food here is genuinely impressive – every dish we ordered was flavorful and freshly prepared. A special mention goes to their Paneer Tikka, which was absolutely outstanding – perfectly marinated, soft, and grilled just right. It's easily one of the best I’ve had in the area. Portion sizes are generous, which makes it great value for money. Whether you're dining alone or in a group, the quantity is more than satisfying. The ambiance is also worth mentioning – clean, comfortable, and with a nice vibe that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. Service was prompt and courteous. The staff seemed well-trained, attentive, and polite, which really adds to the overall experience. From the moment we walked in to when we left, everything felt smooth and well-managed. Overall, Desi Tadka is a great spot in Roorkee for anyone craving delicious North Indian food in a pleasant setting. I’d definitely recommend trying it out – especially the Paneer Tikka – and I’ll surely be returning soon for another great meal.
