Don’t be fooled by its cafeteria setting—this place delivers an experience that’s far more elevated, both in flavor and hospitality. Despite being a cafeteria style, the team here was attentive, and friendly. Now to the food—simply phenomenal. We ordered the Dhana Jhamarua Thali, a beautifully plated ensemble of traditional Bihari dishes that brought together bold spices, delicate textures, and hearty portions. The flavors were deeply authentic yet refined, striking a perfect balance between home-style cooking and restaurant polish. Teesi chutney had a distinct punch—fiery, tangy, earthy—and the “oal” pickles added a spicy, nostalgic twist that elevated every bite. The Betki Fish Balls were a true standout—crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and melt-in-your-mouth tender inside. They paired wonderfully with the café’s chutneys and pickles, which deserve their own spotlight. Potbelly inside Bihar Museum is a must-visit—not just for museum-goers, but for anyone who appreciates genuine Bihari cuisine served with heart and flavor. One of finest Bihari restaurant with good service & very wide clean space. Explored with parents, wife and kid on Sunday 3rd April 2022. We enjoyed their Makhana Thali, Maithali Thali, Ranchi Pulao and deserts like Pineapple Cake with Ice cream. All items were very very tasty and delicious. The service was quick and prompt. I am sure, such delicious thali is not available at any other restaurants in Patna. I would love to recommend. Whenever you go Bihar Museum, must plan to enjoy the foods at The Pot Belly.
