This restaurant offers its visitors Chinese and Sichuan cuisines. Food delivery is a big plus of Ponnusamy Hotel. You will try good chicken biryani, fried chicken and fried prawns. This place is recommended for the friendly staff. The fast service is something these restaurateurs care about. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are democratic. Have been here for "Bahubali Thali ????????"
Ponnusamy hotel is one such brand to bring out the Bahubali Thali to Chennai. Usually jumbo thali are famous and common in North.
This is how! : A giant plate with too many cups filled with Curry and fry. A plate is for 4 person.
ie. 4 pax will be allowed to share a single thali.
Price of a Bahubali thali is 1600/-
How was it?
If you are a guy who can eat without any restrictions, this one is for you. If you are the one who is focused just on tasting all the cups, this is just money.
Taste and quality : There are more than 60+ items on the plate, and hard to list everyone. To put it simple, I'll mention some meals, from which you can decide.
Bahubali Thali = South Indian meal + Andhra meals + North Indian meals + Chinese (friend rice + soup) + mutton kola balls + chicken 65 + prawn+ one piece fish + biriyani (veg, chicken and mutton)
Desserts (served with plate) = a cup of gulab jamun (3 pieces only) and a cup payasam ???? and 2 Banana.
When asked for extra jamun and payasam the staff refused.
Hospitality: They greeted with smile and the staff was patient enough to explain all the menu. Once you start to eat, the staff never bother to any of your queries or complaint. A plate of 4, has only 3 gulab jamun and 2 banana with a single cup payasam, and when raised a question the staff never bothered and ignored us even when asked for water.
Did we complete : off course no???? few items were already cold when given, and we were not able to complete.
This is just for the size and not for quality. I'm not sure about the other branches.
We din feel like the food was wow. It was just okay.
1.6k for a giant Thali, and the quality does not meet your expectations. Disappointed a lot.
Note : book in prior and it takes 30 mins for them to arrange the plate.
