️ Visited Pleasure Trove for lunch on a Saturday. Parking can be a challenge here. Better to come by cab, auto, bike, or scooter, as finding space for a car can be difficult. The restaurant is on the first floor and was actually recommended by a driver we had hired for a few hours. We had never heard of it before, as it didn't show up in the places we usually shortlist through reviews. The restaurant was quite busy during lunch, with most tables occupied, which is usually a good sign. Ambience is decent and comfortable, though not a very fancy or high-end dining place. Ordered Fish Tikka after being told the fish was fresh. The portion size was generous, with large pieces that were enough for two people. However, I felt the fish had a slight smell and tasted as if it had been marinated much earlier. Had it been fresher, the preparation itself was quite good. We also ordered Fish Curry with Rice. The fish used in the curry appeared to be the same fish used in the tikka. The rice served was sela rice rather than basmati, which personally wasn't to my liking. The Fresh Lime Soda was excellent and probably the best part of the meal. We wanted to try prawns, but were informed they were only available frozen. White pomfret tawa fry was also not available that day. The tandoori chicken being served to other tables looked very good, and a large group nearby seemed to be enjoying paneer tikka and other starters. It made me feel we may have chosen the wrong dishes. My only suggestion would be for the staff to be more transparent about the freshness and availability of seafood. Honest recommendations help guests make better choices and enjoy their meal more. Overall, an average experience for me. Some dishes looked promising, but based on what we ordered, I would probably choose one of the many other places serving fresh seafood and tandoori dishes before returning here. Restaurant did not allow to take away the remaining food even though we paid for it.
