I’ve been a loyal PizzaExpress fan since 2016, but this recent visit was deeply disappointing. The food arrived cold and tasted microwaved—the pasta was barely lukewarm at the bottom, and even the pizza was cold. The iconic dough balls have also visibly shrunk compared to last year. To make matters worse, booking through the District app seems to come with a penalty: because of the app discount, the service was noticeably worse than what walk-in customers received. Between the neglected service, shrinking portions, and cold food, the premium prices are no longer justified.
