We ordered the hot chocolate with cinnamon and chilli, which was rated as one of the best drinks on the menu, but honestly, it was quite disappointing. We had specifically asked the server to recommend something that isn’t sweet, but it seemed she didn’t quite understand our request.

Today I had lunch at Piatto Cafe. It was like going to visit an old friend as I have been going there ever since they opened in 2017. Chef Smarn Shetty offers an eclectic cuisine that runs the gamut from salads, pastas, small plates and a variety of sandwiches. Assorted pastries, macarons and gelatos are a treat paired with a hot coffee for dessert. I had mushrooms on toast and then herbed fries as.the chef recommended it. These came first and were thin, glistening and mouth-watering. I ate them two at a time and was in heaven! Then came the mushrooms on toast with cheese. I had a Cortado with two macarons of raspberry and salted caramel. A tasty lunch which made my day. Both Naiu and Mukesh were professional and polite. The interior was renovated recently and is welcoming with potted plants, books and an ambiance that makes one relax completely. There is a unisex restroom here. Both cash and cards are accepted.
