Peter Cat is not just a restaurant – it’s a part of Kolkata’s heritage and culture. Since 1975, it has held a legendary reputation, and maintains to do so. The dim lighting, classic decor transport diners to a different era, making it a perfect place for a laid-back meal or a special evening out. We try their signature dish, the iconic Chelo Kebab (Original), that is simply outstanding – buttery and unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. The Chicken Kebabs are tender, rice grains are exceptionally good. Another dish we've tried is Chicken Irani Kebab. The portion is enough for two person. Lastly I would say, Peter Cat is more than just about food – it’s about reliving a piece of Kolkata’s old-world charm. If you’re in the city, missing out on the Chelo Kebab here would be a crime. We were forced to pay tips by the steward standing on our head even after placing the bill amount in the check book. The steward returned 100. 00 and we asked him to get 2x 50.00 notes. IInstead of placing both 50.00 notes and returning back, he only placed one 50.00 note in the cheque book and kept the other one with himself assuming we are paid him as tip. He is supposed to return both notes and then it's upto us if we want to tip or how much to tip.

Really very bad experience.. bad food quality.. over hyped .. After having lunch on 26Apr 2023 still feeling bad till night .. test is so so ...Prawn cocktail another super third class stuff .. prawns simply dipped in Mayonnaise... Will never visit again ...over rated and over priced ...
