Had lunch with family, and unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. The food was average in both taste and presentation. Despite ordering premium-priced fish dishes, we were surprised to find that even basic items like pappadoms were charged extra. It felt like the pricing didn’t match the quality or the overall dining experience. Service was average, and there was little effort to make guests feel valued. Be sure to ask for the price of fish or any specials before ordering, as it’s not clearly mentioned and can catch you off guard. Given the experience, I’d recommend considering other dining options nearby that offer better value for money and a more enjoyable meal with family. It's too hot in the restaurant because the roof sheet doesn't have enough height, parallely the parking area is cool even in summer. The cooking temperature and heat from the sheet made us uncomfortable and ended up exiting the premises at the earliest. I am a regular traveller on NH66 to Paravur. We stopped at Periyar restaurant for quick munch . The location and scenic view is amazing . Food is average but starters like seafood and other non veg was good . Staff was very polite and helpful . Lunch was average with not much veggies. But fish fry and other sides are good . Pricing also was not that high . It was in midrange . Ample parking is available. The only challenge is the entry and exit to the main highway. It’s a steep climb and downhill towards a very busy highway . Drivers be very careful during hush hours .
