I visited this restaurant with my family after reading positive reviews online, but the experience was extremely disappointing.
The restaurant is a non-AC setup, and the ambiance was below average, not at all what you'd expect from a place that claims to be premium. Though it is located near a tea estate, that’s purely the natural beauty of Munnar and not a reflection of the restaurant's own ambiance or facilities.
We ordered Home Made Mutton Soup, and it took one full hour to arrive. Sadly, it turned out to be the worst soup I’ve ever had—completely bland, flavorless, and far from anything “homemade.”
What shocked me most was that they charged 18% GST, claiming the restaurant is part of a “5-star” property. When I enquired, the cashier insisted that it’s a 5-star restaurant. However, I couldn’t find any official confirmation anywhere to support that claim. Based on my experience, it is highly misleading—the service, food quality, and infrastructure were nowhere near 5-star standards.
We have experienced premium hotels and restaurants in Shimla, Manali, The Leela Kovalam, Kodaikanal, and Munnar, and also internationally in Nepal, Thailand, and Dubai. The quality, hospitality, ambiance, and food standards in those places are incomparable to what we experienced here. This place sadly does not come close to meeting even basic expectations.
