We visited Pangea Café in Auroville, and at first, the ambience felt cozy and welcoming. However, our experience quickly changed when a group of three loud and irresponsible individuals arrived — unfortunately, they were staff members themselves. Their loud laughter while preparing food was quite unsettling, making it hard to relax. It even raised concerns about hygiene, as it felt careless and unprofessional. As for the food, we tried the Buddha Bowl, Hummus Chicken Plate, and a Cappuccino. The cappuccino was genuinely good and well-made, but the food was both underwhelming in taste and lacking in quantity — especially for the price point, which felt quite high for what was served. Overall, while the café has potential with its ambience, the experience was let down by poor staff conduct and average food quality. In our recent trip to Auroville, we visited Pangaea Café for a dinner. We ordered hummus pita, and falafel; the taste was above average. We also ordered Nutella pancakes; they tasted good. Even though the place was very small, the food was acceptable and it was good value for money. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
