I tried the food at Pal Hotel near the court area in Durgapur and found it to be decent for the price. It’s a quite popular hotel within that area. The menu offers simple, homely dishes with a focus on North Indian and Bengali cuisine. The taste is good, especially for their vegetarian thalis and basic curries, which are flavorful and well-cooked. The food quality is fresh, though not particularly fancy or restaurant-style. Service is quick, and the portion sizes are reasonable for the price. But the extra dishes (i.e. Chicken, mutton) can be quite expensive. Do ask the price before order. However, the dining setup is quite basic, so don’t expect a fine dining experience. It's a good option if you're looking for affordable, simple, and filling meals in the area.
