After enjoying The Ridge, go to this restaurant that is not far away. Pakwan offers its visitors to degust Chinese and Indian cuisines. Taste good roti, dal makhani and paneer at this place. A selection of great coffee is recommended to guests.

Pakwan, on the first floor of an old building is easy to miss, unless you're hungry and looking for restaurant signs. A pure vegetarian place, the interiors are clean and simple, with big windows on either side letting in bright, natural light. The tables placed by the window, overlook the Mall Road, Shimla's main drag, and is great for people-watching while you wait for your order. The service is quick and brusque, and the bill is presented quickly after a meal. Since I was looking for lunch, I ordered a Himachali Rajma Madra and tawa roti. The rajmah madra must be an acquired taste. I found the bitter and spicy taste, a bit overwhelming. The menu is a bit pricey, perhaps keeping in mind their prime location on the Mall, right below the Ridge. Parking: Located on the pedestrian-only Mall Road. Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly place. Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessed by a narrow staircase. Not accessible for wheelchairs or people with other mobility issues. One of the best restaurant in Shimla...food quality are Lajwab....Roti is very soft and Garma garam and fast service
