We visited Orange Restaurant in Pondicherry recently, and the experience was quite disappointing. Firstly, there is no proper parking space. It’s just on the main road, so customers have to park their cars there itself, which is very inconvenient. When we entered, it was crowded (probably because it was a weekend), but the staff seemed very confused. One waiter said a table was available, another said it wasn’t — we had to ask multiple times just to get a clear answer. They finally asked us to go to the rooftop, but that area was not very clean and had a lot of mosquitoes. It was difficult to sit there for more than 10–15 minutes. Some of the food items we wanted were not available, and after ordering, we had to wait more than 45 minutes for our food. Even during that time, we had to keep checking with the waiters because no one was responding properly. The service was really poor, and the food was just average. The restaurant has very good ratings on Google, which might be why many people, including visitors from other places and languages, come here. But honestly, no one seems to get proper service. So please don’t go just by the Google reviews — especially avoid weekends or crowded times. It was a very disappointing experience for us overall. Food: 1 Price per person: ₹1,200–1,400
