This impressive bar and restaurant is built high on an outcrop with the rock forming part of the steps up there. Although it might be a struggle for people with walking difficulties, it is well worth it if you can. Ambience was incredible with the owners speaking flawless English. If the food wasn’t incredible (which it is) it’s worth it for the raised view alone Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you’re in Agonda and walking along the main road towards one of the ends near the beach, keep your eyes open. You’ll come across a place called On the Rocks. It’s honestly not easy to miss once you’re close, but you might pause for a second before going in. It’s literally built on top of a large rock, slightly elevated, and you have to climb about 20 to 30 steps carved right into the stone to get there. I remember thinking, should I go up there? And trust me, you absolutely should. I was introduced to this place by someone else, and after my first visit, I made it a point to come back every single day I stayed in Agonda. That’s how much I loved it. The place itself is incredibly aesthetic and beautifully done, but the real magic hits when you sit there and look down. You get this stunning view of everything below, and the wind just flows through in the most calming way. It’s one of those spots where time naturally slows down. The food deserves a special mention. Everything is made fresh, so yes, you might have to wait a little, but that’s honestly part of the charm. This is Agonda. You’re not meant to rush. You can read a book, chat with friends, scroll a bit if you want, or just sit back and enjoy the vibe. I even ended up having some really nice conversations with the owners, who are genuinely warm, easy to talk to, and welcoming. The staff too were lovely throughout. Over the course of my stay, I tried quite a few things from the menu, and I have nothing but good things to say. One thing I would strongly recommend is their hummus platter. It was really, really good. The quinoa salad also stood out, especially because of its dressing. I couldn’t quite figure out what went into it, but it was delicious. Overall, On the Rocks is one of those places that stays with you. Great views, great food, kind people, and a relaxed atmosphere that perfectly matches the spirit of Agonda. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and go. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Thanks so much for the incredible review Abhishek. It was indeed a pleasure having you visit us every day and honestly, that’s the best compliment we could ask for. Climbing 38 steps daily is something that we do and when we see others doing it too.. that’s where the motivation factor pumps on the gas. Meeting people like you is exactly why we love what we do. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to the rest of the staff and hopefully, the "Agonda spirit" stays with you as well as Agonda itself despite of changing times. Looking forward to see you again soon. And yes... the Quinoa salad dressing secret stays with us ...haha

Stumbled upon the best chicken lababdar in South Goa at On The Rocks Agonda. Creamy, spicy perfection with tender chunks of chicken - I'm still dreaming about it! order this with some naan, and thank me later. Trust me, your taste buds will be doing a happy dance. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
