Visited the restaurant last evening to have dinner with family. I am totally disappointed. We, the guys staying outside Assam usually visit such places in order to enjoy a meal with a traditional taste and atmosphere. That was absolutely missing. Meals served in Bell metal electroplated crockery only doesn't really mean assamese tradition. People of Assam go there to have a taste of local vegetables prepared in a traditional manner any enjoy a traditional atmosphere. I ordered two Chicken Thali and One Duck Thali, along with one plate duck fry and two glasses of rice beer. The rice beer made of brown rice tasted good but the taste of rest all had disappointed me. The duck fry served was not properly cooked, the duck curry could have been made with duck and komra as we assamese people prepare at home. Komra is readily available in Delhi markets. More traditional items could have been added to the thali, like Dhekia bhaji/ Khutora saak / Kol Dil bhaji(available at markets in Delhi), Pani tenga, Channa chatni etc. in order to add local flavour to the meal. The service was really poor. The guys who takes order don't speak to you in Assamese whish lacks the feeling of a local atmosphere. They don't serve even water, until unless you ask them for it. They never ask about further requirements of the customer after serving the order. Price really doesn't matter as far as satisfaction is concerned. Guys, don't get impressed by seeing the pics on the site. Fact is something different. I wish the owner will take this review in a positive way and will try to improve the service in future to meet the expectations of assamese community customers.
