We visited Oblique Kitchen with high expectations, given its glowing customer reviews and ratings. Unfortunately, our experience was completely different—an overhyped place with terrible service. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty—only one out of five tables occupied inside and two out of eight outside—we, a group of eight, were crammed onto a six-seater table. The wait for food was excessively long. Just before serving, the waiter abruptly removed the cutlery and quarter plates from six out of eight seats, claiming it would be " very much crowded on table.". He didn’t bother to provide cutlery unless explicitly asked for throughout the meal. When we requested small bowls for dal, it took him a frustrating ten minutes to bring just four—despite there being eight of us. When questioned about this mismatch, his response was beyond disappointing: "Sir, we have limited staff." Given the prices they charge, the lack of basic service was baffling. The staff showed no interest in even the simplest courtesies, let alone good service. They acted as if we were a burden rather than valued customers. Our order took over 30 minutes to arrive. Meanwhile, our kids had to ask for a finger bowl because the wait was so long. The real insult came when we tried addressing these issues with the captain—who simply nodded without a word. Their indifference matched that of the staff, making it clear that customer satisfaction was the last thing on their minds. To make matters worse, they couldn’t even keep track of water needs in the scorching heat. They only serve bottled water—which is being paid for - still we have to repeatedly ask for it. After waiting for rice dish to arrive 3 of us gaven up and asked for finger bowl and also told that let's not order dessert else we cannot leave the place before midnight. In the end, the only got room temperature water in the finger bowl. And, unsurprisingly, paper napkins never arrived. Thank you, Oblique Kitchen, for a truly unforgettable experience—one that guarantees we won’t be coming back. Chairs are utterly uncomfortable and benches don't have backrest. So chose chairs wisely before sitting. Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking, Parking is unavailable Parking: It's erstwhile industrial area. So, narrow road and they have 4 parking spots in premise.
