Nude Food Café – Mumbai (न्युड फूड कैफे) Nude Food Café proudly calls itself Mumbai’s first zero-waste Mediterranean restaurant. Compost-powered kitchen, sustainability, locally sourced ingredients, saving the planet — the whole eco-friendly Avengers lineup. Fantastic concept. Truly. Unfortunately, the flavour seems to have been recycled out of the food as well. First things first — the café itself is small, cute, neat, and clean. It actually gives a very pleasant, calm vibe despite being on a busy road. So credit where due: the place looks nice. But before you even get inside, you’ll have to pass the Mumbai parking obstacle course. There’s paid parking available nearby… except there is no signboard, no indication, nothing. So you first spend time doing rounds like a confused Uber driver before discovering the secret parking arrangement. Once inside, things start promisingly. The juices are genuinely good. Fresh, refreshing, and actually taste like fruit — which is already a small victory in today’s café culture. Then the food arrives. And suddenly the Mediterranean journey becomes a flavourless sightseeing tour. I ordered four dishes, fully expecting olives, herbs, garlic, citrus — you know, actual Mediterranean personality. Instead… nothing. No punch. No character. No memorable taste. It felt like the food was politely whispering: “Please imagine the flavour yourself.” And the dessert? A philosophical experience. Not sweet. Not bitter. Not exciting. Just… there. It wasn’t dessert. It was a neutral opinion served on a plate. Now comes the real twist — the prices. For food that claims bold Mediterranean flavours, the bill arrives with very confident pricing. The flavours, unfortunately, never show up to justify it. Final Verdict. Lovely concept. Nice café. Good juices. But the food? Zero waste… and almost zero flavour. If sustainability ever includes recycling taste back into the dishes, this place could be great.
