A Flavor Journey at Noodle & Spice Sometimes, you visit a restaurant expecting a decent meal, but you end up having an experience you’ll remember for a long time. That’s exactly what happened to me at Noodle & Spice on Janak Road, Kolkata. It was a cozy afternoon when I stepped in with a friend. The moment we entered, the warm greeting from the staff set the tone. The place felt inviting – not too loud, not too crowded – just the kind of atmosphere where you can enjoy good conversations over great food. We started our meal with their summer special Mango Shake – no added sugar, no preservatives, and no unnecessary unhealthy additives. Just pure mango goodness, blended perfectly with dry fruits. It was fresh, natural, and the perfect start to our lunch. Next came the Barbeque Fish – soft, smoky, and bursting with flavor. It was the kind of starter that makes you slow down and savor each bite. Then arrived the Chilli Mustard Bhetki – and wow! Perfectly cooked tender fish, with the mustard adding that beautiful Bengali zing without overpowering the dish. This was hands down the hero of the meal. To complement it, we ordered the Basil Mixed Fried Rice, which came with an aroma so inviting that we couldn’t wait to dig in. Every spoonful was fragrant and delicious, pairing wonderfully with the seafood. The Pepper Garlic Prawn was another standout – fresh, juicy, and seasoned with just the right hint of garlic spice. Even the little things, like chilled soft drinks and packaged water, were served promptly and with care. What stood out most was not just the taste, but the attention to detail – the freshness of the ingredients, the balanced flavors, and the fact that every dish felt made with love. Portions were generous, prices felt fair for the quality, and the overall experience was truly satisfying. By the time we left, we weren’t just full – we were happy. Noodle & Spice isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a place where food lovers can take a flavorful journey. If you’re in Kolkata and you enjoy seafood, aromatic rice dishes, and friendly service, this is one stop you absolutely shouldn’t miss. Highly recommended, and I’ll surely be back! Noodle and Spice is a charming little Chinese restaurant that impresses with its cosy, welcoming ambience. The warm lighting, neat decor, and soothing background music create a relaxed atmosphere perfect for a quiet meal. Despite its small size, the place feels intimate rather than cramped, making it ideal for casual outings. On our visit, we tried the fried rice, golden fried prawn, chicken wontons, and chilli pork in ginger wine sauce. The quantity and quality of the food was nice. The portions were satisfying, and everything arrived hot and fresh. The overall quality of the meal matched the pleasant dining environment, leaving us with a sense of value for money.Overall, Noodle and Spice offers good food at affordable prices, making it a pocket-friendly option without compromising quality. A small gem worth revisiting. This one is a tiny restaurant with a seating capacity of twenty. Interior is tastefully decorated. A young staff, who manages everything, taking orders, explaining the dishes, serving etc., is very courteous, soft-spoken and efficient. The items are quite delicious and the quantities are more than enough. Few Thai dishes are there in the menu and those are extremely tasty. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of each item. At first I was a bit skeptical after seeing the small dinning area. But I was hungry, took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. It's a hidden gem in south Kolkata's Janak Road, near Southern Avenue. Overall a highly satisfying experience.
