I went with family yesterday, the place was super crowded and had to wait for 25 minutes to get a table(that’s still fine). We ordered biriyani and one starter(my kids were starving and so I ordered thinking it will be served quicker). It took around 40 minutes to server just the biriyani (seriously)?. When I enquired the order status multiple times they said it will be ready in 2 minutes (never ending 2 minutes though). I literally had to walk upto some other people to get the food served(just the biriyani which is generally readily available). Then one guy came and told is that the initial service person (who took the order from us) forgot to place the order in the kitchen. We cancelled the starter and somehow finished and fed the food to kids and came out(utterly disappointed). We went for a fine dine experience and it turned to be frustrating and disappointing one. I always liked the food from their old restaurant and Crossroad is excellent too. Not going to back to Uptown again and wont recommend too. During my visit, Nandha Kumar provided us with excellent recommendations, and I must say, the prawns Manoj curry was nothing short of spectacular when paired with rice and naan. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious, accommodating large groups comfortably, and there is ample parking available, making it easy for visitors to drop by. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between luxury and coziness, creating an inviting space for dining with family or friends. What stood out to me was the friendly staff and the excellent service, which truly enhanced our experience. I had a wonderful dining experience with my family, and I'm pleased to mention that the prices are quite affordable considering the quality of food and service.
