If you are hungry after gazing at Kala Bhavan, come to this cafe to dine at. Order dishes of Vegetarian cuisine at Cafe Niloufer. Many guests point out that waiters offer nicely cooked club sandwiches, pizza and burgers here. Try good brownies, plum cakes and fruit toasts. The Osmania biscuits from here were awesome, melting in the mouth. Liked it much better than Osmania biscuits from Karachi bakery. If you are a traveller, you can buy packets of osmania biscuits here, to take back home or to share with friends and family. I think you can also get them delivered via swiggy. The Irani chai was too thick - the medium cup is too heavy and small cup will be enough. I liked Irani chai from other spots in Hyderabad , better. The name of the place and main pic is very misleading. As a traveller, I wasn't familiar with this place, and from the gmap pics I expected a normal cafe with place to sit and relax. This is just an old-fashioned Indian tea/bakery spot, where people stand around to have the food. There are no chairs in the whole place. Which was very disappointing, especially given its name. Cafe Niloufer is undoubtedly one of the most iconic spots in the city, famous for its chai and bakery delights. Their Malai Bun, served from 4 AM to 9 AM, is an absolute must-try. The bun is rich, creamy, and definitely worth the early wake-up call. However, be prepared for large crowds during these hours as it’s incredibly popular. The malai bun, priced at ₹80, is fair for its portion and quality. However, the tea, which costs ₹50, feels a bit overpriced. While it’s a local favorite, the steep price for a basic chai doesn’t seem justified, especially when compared to similar establishments. Overall, it’s worth visiting for the malai bun and bakery items, but I’d recommend reconsidering their tea for better value.
