This restaurant and Smrithi Bhavan can be both really attractive for tourists. Many guests think that the staff is pleasant at The Next Door Cafe. Most visitors mention that the service is nice. The atmosphere is comfortable, as people see it. But google users haven't given this place a high rating.

I like dining here but for the quality they are providing for the food is a lot for the price point, service is good,. TL;DR highly disappointing This is neither a cafe nor a canteen first of all. There’s no systematic way of ordering food because you have to wait for the servers to come to the table, give you the menu and take your order. Secondly, I had gone there during Navratri for the so called Navratri lunches they were offering. The items mentioned were sabudana khichdi, paneer tawa fry, raitha, gulab jamun and chaas for Rs.140 as opposed to the regular veg meals they serve for Rs.100. I received (and I am not exaggerating) exactly ONE SMALL CUBE of paneer in the name of paneer tawa fry. The sabudana khichdi was bland. Chaas and raitha I won’t even count because these are available in any KMC canteen for around Rs.10-20. And the gulab jamun tasted very average. The people who decided on the menu portions might be 5 year olds, because for sure it is not filling for adults. When the server was called, he claimed and I quote “These are special items madam, that is why the quantity is less” This place is a joke. I will be going back to try out the ice creams they have from Uncle John’s, but otherwise I wish there was a minus star button so I could kindly give it to this cafe. The Next Door Cafe located inside Kasthurba Hospital [ramdas pai block] has amazing customer service... The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great.... A special shoutout to pranith for being so kind and attentive. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite or a refreshing drink.... I think this budget friendly spot should be a must visit..... Timings >> Monday to Sunday 7.30 Am to 10.30 pm... Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ₹1–200 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Dietary restrictions: No Parking space: Difficult to find parking Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: No
