just has a pathetic Shami Tikia and cold and ice and Rotten Rumali Roti . Waiter behaviour was pathetic, never came to the table for extra order or review. complaint made to the man she tting in a cashier but he behaved as if this is their daily thing.I would urge food loving people not to waste their money in Alia

Mutton Kasha / Mutton Stew is one of the signature items. This preparation is a Mughlai style gravy so do not get deceived by the word ‘stew’ but rather in most Mughlai restaurants they prefer to say ‘Istew’ to differentiate from the European light stew.The stew is a full bodied onion based dish which gives its depth and mild sweetness. The whole dried red chillies, ginger juliennes and whole black pepper gives a good mouth feel in between. Of course the mutton has to be high quality with proper fat marbeling and good cut of meat on bone without which a good Mughlai stew is incomplete.Personally I feel New Aliah Hotel makes one of the better stews in Kolkata.The Lacha Paratha is layered soft paratha with a hint of sweetness and a slight aroma of rose water. The Stew here can be paired both with both Tandoori Roti and Lacha Paratha.
