During a recent visit to Nandhana Palace, a restaurant I’ve frequented for nearly 15 years, I had the opportunity to sample the Nellore 555 Boneless Chicken Biryani alongside the traditional Andhra Bhojanam. The Biryani was exceptional — fragrant, flavorful, and expertly cooked — a standout dish that I would readily recommend to both first-time visitors and long-time patrons. However, the Andhra Bhojanam, a staple that usually showcases the heart of Andhra cuisine, fell short of expectations. The pappu, typically a comforting and flavorful highlight, was surprisingly bland and lacked the depth that defines a good homestyle preparation. Moreover, the presentation has noticeably changed — the small cups used for serving pappu felt inadequate and impersonal, a far cry from the earlier tradition of generously serving it straight onto the banana leaf. Such changes, though seemingly minor, detract from the authenticity and warmth of the Bhojanam experience. Despite the shortcomings in the meal, service remained a strong point. Munmun and Surajit were attentive, courteous, and ensured a pleasant dining experience overall. While the quality of the Bhojanam at this particular branch may need revisiting, the Biryani and hospitality continue to uphold the restaurant’s longstanding reputation. Amazing food. Prawn ghee roast is a must . Kundan Kumar was a gracious host. Would definitely come again. If you're looking for good service, this place is a must. WORST PLACE. Ordered chicken roast which was way too salty. Asked them to change it and they came with replacement after we finished our food. We asked them to cancel the order but the said they cannot cancel and packed two pieces of chicken for us. What will we do with two pieces of chicken. Making the food salty is restaurant mistake and if replaced they should bring it within time.
