I really love this place, simple vegan food, and kind people. The atmosphere is calm in the restaurant, and they also patiently answered all my questions with a smile on their face. High recommend!! It is easier to pick a vegetarian restaurant in India. But a Vegan restaurant is a rarity as the so called Indian vegetarian diet depends mainly on milk products. Hotel Nalan is a vegan restaurant, with no milk products like curd, butter milk etc which are the traditional markers of an Indian vegetarian restaurant. As it is situated at a distance of around 100 m from my office, I am a regular here. The food is excellent. Cooked in traditional style, the menu varies each day. (The restaurant has a WhatsApp group, to which you can request to be added if you are a regular. Menu is posted there for breakfast, lunch and dinner) Daily in the lunch the provide different varieties of Keerai. Payasam (dessert) has no white sugar mix, only country jaggery. The food is cooked and served, without much oil., artificial tasteners etc. A good restaurant to maintain a healthy diet
