The floor above has a small plate menu that was perfect for people who want to sample more. We ate the duck in rec curry, beef in green curry, fried pork (it was a lil too fried like it had a cruch, maybe you can request it be soft), the crab on sago wafers (okay) and the pomelo starter (the pink ones were better than the yellow ones) and the prawn rolls. Every dish had multiple elements of surprise and it was a conversation starter figuring out what was the mystery ingredient. The drinks were well curated with fun elements but my fav was the whisky with white chocolate chips, had a sweet kick. There was a wine based drink that had many ingredients and it gave my friend a kick.. I had a gin based drink and it was nice too.

I recently stopped by Muro for a light dinner. I wasn’t particularly hungry, so I limited myself to just two dishes and my go-to Diet Coke. For appetizers, I chose a mushroom-filled dim sum and a corn-curd starter made from a blend of sweet corn and tofu. Both plates were unexpectedly delightful: the dim sum had thin, delicate wrappers that gave way to a savory, earthy mushroom filling, while the corn-curd bites were crisp on the outside, silky inside, and seasoned just enough to let the natural sweetness of the corn shine through. The restaurant itself makes a positive first impression. The interiors are thoughtfully designed, with warm lighting and sleek modern accents that strike a comfortable balance between casual and upscale. It’s the sort of atmosphere that encourages you to linger over your meal. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the ambiance or the quality of the food. While the staff was polite, their interactions felt almost robotic—scripted rather than genuinely welcoming—and the pace was sluggish. I found myself waiting longer than expected for simple requests, which gave the impression that the team was going through the motions rather than offering attentive hospitality. Overall, I left with mixed feelings: excellent small plates and a stylish setting, offset by service that felt slow and impersonal. If Muro can inject a bit more warmth and efficiency into its service, it has the potential to become a regular favorite for those evenings when you want great flavors in a refined space without committing to a heavy meal Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
