Been to this place a couple of times with friends for quick bites and chilling after work. Yes, the décor is Bollywood inspired and the movie songs that play in the background add to the ambience, but I find food here a quite uninspired.
I’ve tried the Bun Makhan with Cutting Chai and the Keema Kulcha on my first visit, both were a miss, but I do remember the tea being good. On my second visit I had the Vegetarian Burger and the Non-veg Pasta Primavera, again, both quite average. Nothing wrong with them of course, just bland flavours in general.
With other cafés with similar menus in the area, they definitely need to step up their game.
I went there with a few friends. Just felt like hanging out , so this came up to be the place. Mumbai matinee as the name suggests it's pure Bollywood themed place. Small and beautiful place. We had Alfredo pasta over there that tasted songstress between average and good. But the quantity wasn't satisfying. Also, we had virgin mojito that tasted well! Also the service quality proved to be a good score now. The guys there are calm and decent!
Good ambience. Decent food. Overpriced.
That pretty much sums it up.
You can visit this place once if you're a Bollywood fan. I don't see any other reason to be here.
