While the brand is known for its affordable cakes, the quality here is quite inconsistent. If you're buying pastries, it's a hit or miss. Sometimes, you'll be lucky enough to get fresh, soft ones, but more often than not, they tend to be dry and disappointing. The puffs, once a great snack, have not only reduced in size over time but are also excessively oily, making them far less enjoyable than they used to be. One of the biggest letdowns is their decision to keep the entire menu 100% vegetarian. In other states, Monginis serves non-veg items and cakes made with eggs, which are undeniably softer and richer in taste. However, for some reason, the Patna outlets believe being fully vegetarian is a selling point—even for cakes, where eggs make a noticeable difference in texture and flavor.
