Enjoy All Saints Church by default, the clients' piece of advice is to visit MODERN STORES/MODDYS CHOCOLATES as well. At this place, clients can have tasty pies, pizza and hot sandwiches. That's a good idea to order good ice cream, chocolate custard and chocolate cakes. Based on the guests' opinions, waiters serve delicious ice tea, chocolate frappe or hot chocolate.
Many visitors note that the staff is cool at this spot. Nice service is something guests appreciate here. There is lovely atmosphere at MODERN STORES/MODDYS CHOCOLATES, as people see it. 4.5 is what this place received from the Google rating system.

Everyone needs at least a chance to improve. I went to Moddy’s store again in the evening. The MD himself & the Manager acknowledged the issue I faced in the morning and gave assurance of improvement. This was really a nice gesture on their part. They assured that in future the staff will be well equipped before the store is opened on any given day. I tasted Moddy’s Chocolate mousse layered pastry as well as classic hot chocolate which I must say were very tasty and ingredients used in it were of very high quality. Will soon come back again ———————————————————————- Highly unprofessional store, where even basic hygiene is not maintained. No water in this cafe.. After one day strike by traders (2 Apr 2025) in Ooty this store opened up and I was allowed to enter the cafe upstairs. The store was not at all ready. Not even water was available for a basic thing like handwash. They had very little items available to eat in cafe and their shelves were having stale products for sale. The kitchen which they use to prepare the food not even has a sink with water. How can one expect that they are maintaining food related hygiene!!!!! I went for a handwash and after applying soap on hands there wasno water to rinse soap. I even asked for paid water bottle but to my surprise they had none. Imagine a cafe like Moddy’s where they claim to be the best, even has no option of paid water bottle and right next to their cafe they own a departmental store of their own called Modern stores. I was offered a water bottle by the staff with dirty water to wash my hands!!!! On making hue & cry I was told that due to strike yesterday they are not ready yet. So why did they open the store when they were not ready!!!!! It’s a shame for a name like Moddy’s.

One of the oldest bakeries in Ooty, known for its outstanding fudges that are top-notch. I highly recommend their butter croissant—have it reheated and dip it in their hot chocolate, and you’ll experience pure bliss. However, the prices have recently increased quite a bit, which makes me hesitate to buy as much as I normally would. Service: Takeaway Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Dear sir thank you for your wonderful review.Please note that the reason for the increase in the price is that the price of the raw cocoa has increased by more than 6 times. We cannot compromise on the quality and hence are compelled to shift the load to the minimum the extend. We always ensure the quality and taste is maintained.
