Actually bit disappointed with their briyani. I left chennai 7 years before and I was addicted to their briyani. So after long time, I took my family to Mirchi briyani to taste their briyani. Tried pachimirchi chicken and butter prawn, they are sooo good . Tried fire Briyani and it was tasted like normal rice and unable to eat much. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Butter Garlic Prawns

Since Old mirchi biryani is famously known for their dishes. I tried it here.. Starting with the famous Nixon Chicken which is a unique taste with the combination of mayonese and sauce. Worth trying it. Next moving on to an andhra dish,pachi mirchi karivepaku kodi fry which turned out to be spicier and tasty . Along with it we had butter naan and Murgh tikka masala (for medium spicy lovers). Overall an awesome experience with more to explore. 2nd visit on 22nd April Today we had the same signature starter.. Nixon Chicken which is a must try.. along with dragon chicken which is above average. Followed to that, button Naan and garlic butter Naan with kadai chicken is the best combo. Garlic butter Naan is awesome. Finally coming to Biryani we had kozhi varuval biryani which is a must try and based on recommendations Tried Mutton chukka biryani.. mutton Chukka was above average but tasted good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Hyderabadi Biryani, Chicken Mayonnaise, Mutton Chukka Biryani

We had come for a team lunch, so luckily we got to try a lot of dishes as well.Located in a prime location on the OMR stretch they’re a small business making spicy food. They’re located on the first floor and usually have full tables in the first 1 hour of dining being opened. That being said, making a reservation is highly recommended.Ambiance:A quaint 10 table restaurant. Cosy, well maintained, and clean.Food:The food was spicy and the portions suit 2 people per plate.Recommendations: mayo chicken and potatoes, honey chicken, cracker chicken(spicy) fire biryani. The Biryani was so very aromatic. They serve the biryani with a topping of the particular order, so getting a scoop full of rice and masala is the only way to enjoy the dish. The fire biryani was my favourite, and we ordered 2 serving of it, we did notice a little difference between the 2. A close second was the Khozhi varuval biryani. Had a sweetness of Cashew in the masala, but very mild.Overall:Highly recommend The Old Mirchi Biryani! Happy eating!!The prices may seem a little high to a few. But trust me, it’s worth every penny. If you’re averse to spice, I’d suggest you be a little careful.
