If you're looking for a pure vegetarian restaurant serving Chinese and Thai cuisine, then Flower Drum - OMR is the place to go. The food here is of great quality and quantity, with generous portions of dishes like Lotus stem, corn fry, Shanghai soup, Dim sums, Sichuan noodles, Pepper mushrooms, Manchow fried rice and more. The ambience is pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful. The waiters are also happy to suggest dishes that might suit your palate. Prices can be a bit expensive, but it's definitely worth it. If you're looking for a unique experience with delicious food, then Flower Drum - OMR is the place to visit. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent Chinese restaurant in OMR road. I've personally heard a lot about the Flower Drum in Adyar, but this one certainly blew my mind. Parking is available downstairs though it tends to be crowded during weekends. It's situated in Okkiyam and the entrance somewhat looks like that of a flat. Lift is there to get to the restaurant. The entrance looks a bit dull but once you're inside the ambience is amazing. We were greeted well by the staff, they also gave us pretty good recommendations when it came to the food. They had a pretty good variety of starters out of which we really liked the dim sums and crispy lotus stem. I'd recommend trying the mixed dim sums to get more variety out of it. We went for the sizzler option and I think it was definitely better to go for that instead of noodles or fried rice. They have a good choice of sizzlers to choose from as well. This was a super cool fine dining option to have a quiet dinner with family or a date. Been to Flower Drum (OMR) on multiple occassions, the food and service have always been good. Their brocolli soup is just so yummy! All their starters are good. Thai curry is too good. Fast service, good portion size, parking available, reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
