Conveniently located beneath a reputable hotel and close to both the gondola and ice rink, Miasa Cafe became our go-to after our preferred spot wasn’t open early enough. Since that first visit, we’ve been back twice more, dining as a group of 3 to 5 people each time. This is a great option for anyone craving a break from local flavors and looking for a solid Western-style meal. Our order this time (for three people): • Chicken & Mushroom Pizza • Mexican Chicken Pizza • Chicken Blast Pizza • 2 x Crispy Chicken Strips • 2 x Colas each The pizzas are consistently great—thick-based, well-presented on wooden platters, and really hit the spot. No complaints there. The crispy chicken strips are dangerously moreish. They come with a strikingly white, almost iridescent mayonnaise that pairs surprisingly well. It also helps soften the blow of the crispy crumbs that, if eaten too enthusiastically, might strip the skin from the roof of your mouth. Totally worth it. Normally, I wouldn’t reach for cola, but given that we’re in a Muslim state where alcohol isn’t widely available, it was the next best option. That said, I couldn’t help but think how nicely a good Pinot Noir would have paired with the meal. On previous visits, we’ve tried a mix of pizzas—including the Margherita—along with chicken lollipops and chicken Kante. All were solid choices that we’d happily order again. Service is friendly and attentive, and food arrives quickly. The restaurant itself is clean, and prices are fair. We tipped accordingly. The only downside? The toilet. With just one shared between men and women, it could definitely be better maintained—more than just the occasional hose-down. And a proper stock of toilet paper wouldn’t go astray for us infidels! Miasa Cafe offers a delightful dining experience in Gulmarg. The food was good, with the Veg Hakka Noodles being a particular standout. The Mushroom and Corn Pizza was enjoyable, although it could use a slight improvement in flavour/texture. The Virgin Watermelon Mojito was a refreshing and excellent choice. While I'm not a huge fan of apple pies in general, the one at Miasa was definitely one of the better ones I've tried. The service was efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere at the cafe is fantastic. However, it's important to note that the prices are quite high. One of my favourite restaurant in Gulmarg. Love the ambience, welcoming and jolly staff. The food is amazing ( quality and quantity). And the Coffee . Must visit place, worth money. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
