If you look through the guests' comments, the staff is cool at this restaurant. Enjoyable service is something visitors appreciate here. Moderate prices are not suitable for this Cloves Restaurant. It's always a good idea to try something new, enjoying the nice atmosphere. But a number of guests who use Google didn't give this place a high rating.

In spite of its reputation as a fine dining establishment and its extravagant Instagram posts portraying it as a seven-star dining experience, Cloves Restaurant at the Hotel Khyber in Gulmarg fell short of expectations in almost every aspect during my visit. The quality and flavour of the dish were quite subpar. The food served at this ostensibly posh institution is not nearly as tasty and enjoyable as highway restaurants along the Srinagar-Gulmarg road. The bland and tasteless food was completely unsatisfactory for a restaurant that bills itself as having an international premium appeal. The service likewise fell well short of any realistic expectations. The employees appeared undertrained, inattentive, and unhelpful. Requests were frequently ignored or delayed indefinitely. Such sloppy and poor service would be unsatisfactory in any restaurant, let alone one that claims to provide a premium dining experience comparable to the world's greatest hotels. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay the bill, the restaurant's credit card system malfunctioned and could not process international cards. This is a basic feature that any restaurant, especially one claiming elite worldwide status, should be able to provide. Overall, Cloves Restaurant at Hotel Khyber oversells itself as a luxury resort while failing to meet even the most basic standards of quality food, service, and operational competence. The disparity between their marketing boasts and the sad reality is almost hilarious. There are many better, more authentic dining options in Gulmarg that fulfil the essential promises of superb cuisine and service without boasting. Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1
