Ummm so came for lunch and got vanilla milkshake and Garlic Rice with Prawns. Prices are ofc, very high, The food was somewhat mediocre, vanilla milkshake tasted more watery than milky, drink Barista’s instead. Service and Ambience is top notch though, but this has no relation with the food, I came for food, not ambience. The service Is GREAT tho! Idk if it was an incident for only me but our server forgot to add in a pineapple drink and he told me he didn’t include it, I insisted to include, he denied. Pretty generous no service charge as well lol! I understand that it is within Khyber and a lame ambience would defeat the Resort-ey feel. Anyhoo, the food does not relate with the ambience nor presentation nor the service. Great views from the coffee shop tho!! Only with food comparing, Meh. Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Great options! Dietary restrictions: None!

Had been here for lunch and the food was average but what was pathetic was the food which we weren't able to finish and had asked them to parcel it. On going home and opening the bag we found the pizza was packed small cylindrical box used to pack gravy or something. Thats the standard of the place you need to remember it by, pizza packed in gravy box. Food: 2 Service: 1

In spite of its reputation as a fine dining establishment and its extravagant Instagram posts portraying it as a seven-star dining experience, Cloves Restaurant at the Hotel Khyber in Gulmarg fell short of expectations in almost every aspect during my visit. The quality and flavour of the dish were quite subpar. The food served at this ostensibly posh institution is not nearly as tasty and enjoyable as highway restaurants along the Srinagar-Gulmarg road. The bland and tasteless food was completely unsatisfactory for a restaurant that bills itself as having an international premium appeal. The service likewise fell well short of any realistic expectations. The employees appeared undertrained, inattentive, and unhelpful. Requests were frequently ignored or delayed indefinitely. Such sloppy and poor service would be unsatisfactory in any restaurant, let alone one that claims to provide a premium dining experience comparable to the world's greatest hotels. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay the bill, the restaurant's credit card system malfunctioned and could not process international cards. This is a basic feature that any restaurant, especially one claiming elite worldwide status, should be able to provide. Overall, Cloves Restaurant at Hotel Khyber oversells itself as a luxury resort while failing to meet even the most basic standards of quality food, service, and operational competence. The disparity between their marketing boasts and the sad reality is almost hilarious. There are many better, more authentic dining options in Gulmarg that fulfil the essential promises of superb cuisine and service without boasting. Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1
