Situated on XIV Street near Casino Theater, Meenchatti Restaurant is a dining option in Kochi offering Chinese and Sichuan dishes. Despite its potential appeal to lovers of Asian cuisine, it hasn't made a significant mark on major restaurant directories apart from a minimal presence on Zomato.
The restaurant remains a bit of a mystery due to limited and somewhat outdated reviews, with the last recorded customer feedback coming eight months ago. A common piece of advice from visitors suggests being mindful about discussing dish prices before ordering, hinting at possible discrepancies in value.
Operational throughout the week from 8:00 AM to midnight, Meenchatti Restaurant is characterized as being affordable. However, prospective diners may note a lack of recent updates or communication from ownership to attract newer patrons or address previous visitor concerns.
We decided to try Meen Chatti restaurant just in Muttom before Alwaye on the Highway. The restaurant is furnished sparsely and the focus is on the food. They do have a small AC dining area overlooking the highway. We ordered the fish curry meals, and it comes with an assortment of side dishes. As additional sides, we ordered clams, crabs, prawns roast and a sea bream fish curry. They also bring about a selection of fresh fish which can be cooked to order. We ordered a Red Snapper. The food was beyond amazing. Super tasty and incredibly fresh. The red snapper we ordered however could have fed an entire village!! The fish curry meals, the two curries, crabs, prawns and clams only cost us a 1000/- rupees. The gigantic red snapper however cost is 2500/-. Lesson learned. If you are ordering fresh fish, do specify what size you want or else they will bring you the largest one they have!! The seafood: 5/5The service: 5/5Ambience: 1.5/5Value for money: 5/5 - Even though the red snapper was super expensive. Altogether a lovely lunch experience and worth many repeat visits.
They have the worst possible customer experience ever, they dont know how to treat a client or take any criticism. Please avoid this place if you are in ernakulam, there are way better places to have food.
