Mayabay : The Tropical Restobar Kakkanad,Kochi is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Prices are found adequate here. From the guests' point of view, the atmosphere is cool. Based on the visitors' feedback on Google, this place deserved 4.1.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. It’s all hype and heavily overpriced. We ended up spending almost ₹30,000 in a single day, and the service didn’t match the cost at all. There was a group singing in the corner, and when my friends requested a Malayalam song, they responded very rudely. They insisted they only sing English songs, which we found quite disrespectful—especially considering this restobar is located in Kochi, Kerala. We were with a US citizen who also felt their behavior was inappropriate and unprofessional. It’s disappointing that they don’t respect local culture or language. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The prices are extremely high, and the experience did not live up to expectations. Price per person: ₹2,000+ Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Mayabay is a great place to hang out with friends or family in Kakkanad. The ambience is tropical and relaxing, with excellent service that adds to the overall experience. We went for dinner with friends and enjoyed a few beers and hot drinks. The food was a highlight—especially the chicken and pork dishes. The beef dry fry was flavorful, and the chicken wings were perfectly crunchy and coated in a tasty sauce. The standout was definitely the pig ribs—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. One small suggestion: improving the music selection or introducing live music could really enhance the vibe and make the atmosphere more lively. Overall, a great spot for a chill evening.
