Fish, prawn dishes are fantastic. The served quantity is big. Ideal place to order food for party at home. Mr. Mathur at Mandarin, Sarat Bose road branch is exceptional helpful, thank you. I always drive to this place whenever I want to treat someone to authentic Chinese food. The best Chinese in town, reasonable pricing compared to the quantity they serve, decent staff and that retro ambience of the 1980's; all that makes this place a great dining place for me with family and friends. It's almost a 1.5 hrs drive from my place, yet this remains my preferred place whenever possible. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Chinese food. Mandarin Restaurant, Southern Avenue The ambience feels old and worn out, and the space is a bit cramped with a small upper-tier seating area. Food is average to good — nothing extraordinary or lip-smacking. Unfortunately, they don’t use Vetki fish — instead they serve Basa fish, which isn’t tasty at all.
