Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisines are served at this restaurant. Do not go away without enjoying perfectly cooked dal makhani, chicken curry and chicken biryani. Good pudding is exactly what many guests taste here. You will hardly forget delicious bitter that you can order. Great tea is served at Majlis.
Food delivery is an important benefit of this place. Most visitors find the staff cheerful. If you want to experience enjoyable service, you should go to this spot. My best friend introduced me to this place. A rooftop restaurant offering Arabic style cuisine. Wherein recipes for most of the dishes served here are curated by Padmashree awardee Chef Imtiaz Qureshi.
Ambiance: 4/5
This is a rooftop resto located in Kammanahalli / CMR Road with regular table arrangement or couch seating in the smoking area. The lighting in this place is perfect to hang out with family or with a group of friends. The ambiance set up here compliments the meaning of the word Majlis ‘ a place to sit and have a conversation’
Food: 4/5
Have had a multitude dinners at majlis, what makes me here again and again is their food and friendly staff. These are a few dishes I have tried in my various visits.
Burrah Kabab – mutton kabab marinated with yogurt and pepper and few spices – has soft flavourful meat kabab that tastes great – sometimes it gets spicy too.
Galauti kebab – a lucknowi style mince meat kabab that has a creamy texture and the meat just melts in your mouth – not too spicy but the taste of it remains lingering on your taste buds.
Mutton Sheek kabab – another minced meat kabab that is grilled and tasty with rustic spices.
Dahi ke kabab is their vegetarian kabab made with hung curd and fried with bread crumbs – my favourite in their veg kebab menu – it just melts in your mouth and tastes great – has right amount of curd used.
Kumbh kurkure – batter fried marinated mushroom having cheese stuffing – is good enough and some times it just fills you up.
My all-time must order and most favorite dish here is kheema kulcha – this is one yummy and soft kulchjas that comes with stuffed kheema – I just love the way it is made in here – always served hot – and meat is fresh and kulcha is cooked to perfection and is soft.
In one my visits I have had Indo Arabic veg platter – this comes with Dahi kabab, falalel – tasty and crispy, panner tikka – soft and flavorful panneer dish, sunehri kashta – a rumali roti stuffed with veggies and rolled and fried – to be a delectable kabab.
Hummus with chicken – creamy texture hummus bowled me over and kept me craving for more. Its comes topped with a generous amount of olive oil and the chicken on top is cooked welland goes well with hummus – comes along with pita bread as accompaniment and the bread here is great, what makes it great is the soft texture and yummy taste.
Hummus peri peri – yet another creamy hummus that has hint of their in-house peri peri sauce.
Mahi afghani – Tandoor cooked fish dish that is marinated in cheese –fish was cooked well - could have been better in terms of flavours and taste.
One add-on in this place is the sheesha they serve – they make is really well – and staff are attentive too.
All – in – all a good place to dine out with and spend a few hours with your family or friends with good food and good conversations, that comes with friendly and attentive staff.
We landed solely for lunch and straight away ordered palak paneer, kadai vegetables and tandoori roti(veg guy here!!). While the kadai vegetables was not that good ( tasted bland), the palak paneer was brilliant.
My friend had tandoori murgh and he couldn't stop raving about it for a while. Rotis were very well made and I crave for it even now.
Moving on to deserts, we ordered phirni and gulab jamoon. Phirni was okayish, lacking in sweetness. What stole the show was gulab jamoon with the perfect round shape :P, rich texture and amazing taste. Wish to have it again!!
