Decent place with a nice ambience. The food was of decent quality with amazing quantity (seriously, I could only eat half of the prawn noodles that I had ordered). It's not exactly on the main road but not hard to locate. I was expecting small steamed prawns in my prawn noodles but instead had big fried prawns so I was kinda surprised. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the noodles but my parents found them a bit bland so had them with Manchurian and enjoyed. Overall, a pleasant experience. Hope this place can get as crowded as it once used to be.
One of my childhood places. Used to go here almost every fortnight. But today was the last day. Dont want to be a harsh critic but the food was either chilli or bland. I ordered drums of heaven, Shanghai style shrimp balls, veg hakka noodles and crispy chicken in chef's own sauce. Crispy drums i liked it but only till coating beyond that it was a frozen chicken something was wrong. Shanghai style shrimp balls honestly big mistake to order when i know it wont be fresh. Noodles were not hakka style for sure and tasted like street vend's way too much soy. Then the house speciality my all time favorite just bland no flavor chicken was tough chewy and dry. All in all bad experience. The empty restaurant at 830pm on friday should have given it away, but I still rolled the dice and lost to the house.
Word of caution when a Chinese restaurant is planning a continental dishes things might be going down and are a recipe for even a bigger disaster.
Truth is i think in last 6 years there have been spurt of some great Chinese restaurant in Delhi and place like Lotus Garden have been stuck in i think 2000s they didn't changed only increased pricing.
