My visit to Lavonne Cafe on St. Marks Road offered a mixed bag of delightful treats and a few areas for improvement. The caramelized milk chocolate croissant was a definite standout – absolutely delicious and worth every penny. I also enjoyed the milk coffee berliner. While the Mediterranean cheeseburger was tasty and the pasta Alfredo decent, both felt a bit overpriced for what they offered. The cafe itself is small with a simple ambiance, but its prime location on St. Marks Road really elevates the experience with a great outdoor vibe. The staff were polite and patient, and parking was easily available, which is always a plus in Bengaluru. A couple of suggestions for the cafe: serving food on larger plates would make it much easier for two people to share. Also, given the minimal table service, removing the service charge seems reasonable. The current high prices, coupled with CGST and SGST, make the overall cost feel a bit steep. We’re so glad you enjoyed dining with us and the chocolate croissants in one our favourites too :) We use premium ingredients and our prices reflect that but to be very honest our prices are actually on par (if not lower) than most cafes around, especially when you look at the portion sizes. As for the plates, you’re right, they’re usually sized for one, but we’re always happy to bring out extra plates if you’d like to share. And just to share a bit of the why behind the service charge: it goes entirely to the team, not just the servers, but also the chefs and housekeeping crew, because it truly takes all of them working together to make sure every guest leaves happy.
