Great food and awesome desserts. But many food items like monster shakes, churros, etc was not there. The menu is more non-veg than veg. Booking a table is strongly recommended.

Yesterday we went to Lafayette. Hospitality : I'm not sure why the hospitality differs person to person. We asked whether they have any waiting area as the wait totime is more than 20 mins to my surprise the answer was you can ROAM AROUND and look at the place. Then we went inside and we saw a waiting area. After 10 mins for another couple the same person invited them to sit in the waiting area. Seriously?? Service : To get a place - 40 minsTo take order - 30 mins To bring each dish - 30 mins each dish we ordered 3 so it 1.5 hoursFood : 1. Dragon Chicken - Chicken was little less in the oil. We were literally able to taste the burst of oil in our first bite itself.2. Penne alferoda : This was a safe pick but yet it tasted pathetic. No salt, Chicken was raw, and the sauce was bland.3. Brownie thick shake : Compared to other 2 dishes this was good.Price : To be honest not worth the price. I've visited many cafes in Chennai you may even visit Writer's the above mentioned issues you will never find there. Overall : Maybe their cakes must be good which we didn't try but rest all nottttttttt worth the hypeéeeee please skip if you are planning for lunch or dinner.

Lafayette by Mug Cakes is a delightful spot with unique and delicious dishes. The desserts were simply outstanding. We were warmly attended by Mr. Pragaspathi, a smart and friendly youngster who guided us through the diverse menu with ease. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
