While I thoroughly enjoyed the food and could even live with the cramped up space thinking of it as nothing less than an authentic Japanese restaurant experience, the service staff (especially this one older lady) was extremely rude. Given that it was quite busy (8pm), we were quite considerate and were extremely patient for the staff to come to us to take our orders. We waited quite a bit for our ramen and just as we were 2 bites in, the server comes in asking if we wanted to order dessert or anything else. I requested for 10 minutes as I had just started eating my ramen and would want to look over the menu before we decided on anything. She denied saying there were other reservations. She made faces when I still requested for 5 more minutes. It was very off putting to say the least. I was barely there for 2 hours and to be strong armed into leaving the spot you had booked well in advance in the week is very inconsiderate.Hospitality and service was definitely lacking and they did not hesitate to add service charge :)Seems like I am not the only one who has qualms with the service and everyone seems to have received the same Auto generated message with no effort being made to fix the issue or offer to hear them out.Food may be good but not worth the attitude or shade that staff threw. Rather go to smaller places where the staff is kinder even if the food isn’t great.Good luck!

Authentic Food, But Hygiene Needs Serious AttentionI visited Kuuraku Bangalore with high expectations, and I must say the food lived up to its reputation. The flavors were authentic, and the experience—from the lively staff interactions to the ambiance—felt like a true Japanese izakaya.However, the hygiene situation was a major letdown. I noticed cockroaches roaming around, and shockingly, a small cockroach even emerged from the spout of the soy sauce bottle. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, their response was indifferent and unapologetic, which made the situation even worse.Great food cannot make up for poor cleanliness and lack of accountability. I sincerely hope the management takes immediate steps to improve hygiene because this could easily ruin an otherwise fantastic dining experience. Until then, I’d hesitate to return or recommend it.
